Linden has. I've been asked to do it this year but depending on some other life events I may or may not be able to do it. Will you be doing it? If so I will refer you to my photographer if I cant.

Not this year since I just placed my order for my new tail at the beginning of June.

I have a trip scheduled to Thailand in April of 2018 just for funzies and to see the Songkran Festival, but the South Pacific is next on my list.

Once I get my new tail, my travel will be specific for photo opportunities with it, I'm so landlocked here in Ohio there's no point going anywhere unless it's fabulous.

We just got back from our honeymoon in Australia and I already want to go back. The Great Barrier Reef was amazing.

Linden has great stuff to say about it and she did an article in the Mermaids magazine too.

Did it in Jan 2016. But due to the Jelly fish quantity is now dropping seriously , seems the lake has been closed already.

Ok, I have a potentially REALLY DUMB questions about swimming in this lake.
So I know the Jellyfish dont sting, but they still have the long tentacles, yes?
So we all know that jellyfish tentacles can be long, and rather hair like....so....dont the tentacles get in your eyes? It looks like it's densely populated...IE lots of tentacles.
So how do they not brush you in the face? get in your eyeballs? stingers or not, that sounds unpleasant.

I will admit that swimming with jellyfish without the risk of being stung sounds AMAZING...but I'm not the biggest jellyfish fan. too many bad experiences as a child :p

Kitson: that photo is beautiful

golden jellyfish in the jellyfish lake doesn't sting. Golden jellyfish need sunlight to survive, as the sun’s rays provide important nutrients to the algae-like organisms that inhabit the jellyfish’s tissues. It deprived of predators have lost the ability to sting.

Right I understand that they don't sting. My question is, don't the tentacles get in your face or eyes?
Even without stinging that sounds unpleasant.

Their tentacles are short and you wont feel anything / pain of having tentacles get in your face/ eye

Ah. Gotcha. That makes sense. :)

I don't really ever take the time to examine jellyfish in the wild. I tend to avoid them when possible.
I'll admire them at an aquarium. Behind glass.

if in the normal sea to see jellyfish , you better avoid them .

My husband lived in Australia for 8 years and we loved it out there on our visit! You're not far from me as I'm in Nashville. I have my own heated salt water pool if you wanna meet up!

Yeah a lot of jellyfish actually don't have extensively long tendrils. There are a lot of big blue ones near where I live in the summer and they do sting but they have short, stubby lumps at the end haha.

I'd love to if I were closer! It's sounds fantastic! I've always wanted to swim in a saltwater pool. :) May I ask about how much it was to set up and maintain? :)

Hi! We bought our house and it came with the pool hot tub and waterfall plus some other fun outside things and furniture. If I had to guess Id say it was around $60k?
