I came across mermaiding kind of by accident when a video popped up on you tube, and I thought I want to do that! I was a keen swimmer when I was younger and spent most days swimming in the sea or our pool just swimming in circles pretending to be a fish, i had wanted a mono fin then but they much were to expensive.

Fate must have been in my favor as I am currently recovering from major knee surgery and using a mono fin is the perfect sort of physio for me.

I had my first swim two days ago and it was the best feeling, I haven't moved that fast in months. I cant wait to swim again and i'm thinking about my first tail for when I am a stronger swimmer again, currently the weakness in my leg means I cant seem to go in straight line...i still swim better than i walk tho.

Good for you! I'm pleased it made you feel so good! It's such a great feeling, swimming with a fin! Sorry about your knee though. It's great that the mono fin can help you with it. You are also in a great location for Mermaiding too. Are you close to the coast?

I can't explain how happy it makes me without having a huge smile on face:Di am very lucky to live near the river dart and i can get to most beaches on the south coast easily. its just getting into the water that's difficult at the moment. ive only done pool swimming, but cant wait to get a tail made and take some photos outside.
