Help! I need advice on buying my first fabric tail!

Hi guys! So, I really need some advice on buying a fabric tail (actually buying two- one for me and one for my sister). These will be our first tails and I'm really excited about it. I would have loved silicone but as a student it is just seriously not in my budget. The two retailers I am looking at purchasing from are: finfun and suntails but if you can suggest another one please do! I have also looked at magictails but because I live in Canada and I think the exchange rate and shipping would be too high. I have also looked at mertailor but I am afraid to go with them since there are so many bad reviews.
My biggest concern is the monofin. I'm a strong swimmer and a scuba diver and plan to get a lot of use out of this tail. I read some reviews about the finfun monofin being too floppy, but also read that the suntail monofin does not fit small feet well and both my sister and I have very small feet (she is a 5.5 and I am 6.5).
We are likely getting the skins from suntail as I have read that the scales print flows more smoothly into the tail part. Additionally, the sizing from suntail seems better and like I may only have to have it altered slightly, whereas with finfun I would either need a custom size which like doubles the price, or have a premade size heavily altered.
Really any advice is greatly appreciated though!

Hi there! I just got a finfun myself and I really love it, before that I had a finis wave monofin for a long time which is more of a stiff monofin. The finfun has an "old" monofin and then the newer monofin pro so you have to be careful when looking at reviews as to which monofin they review. I have a friend with the older monofin and it IS far more floppy, the new one seems to provide good push through the water. I haven't had or seen a Mertailer Eco but I know some people do prefer it. It has a finis Aquarius monofin inside which you can look up reviews for. The Eco doesn't have a slit in the bottom (as far as I know) for quick removal, which some people like but it may be harder to get off in an emergency.

What I like about my Finfun is their monofin fits in Suntails as well (another company you may wanna look at! My friend has a suntail and loves it but doesn't have their monofin yet.) So with a finfun or suntail you can order different tail skins and basically have multiple tails out of one monofin!

I'm looking at the suntail site now!
What do people prefer between the suntail monofin and the funfin monofin?
It doesn't look like suntail offers custom sizing but I may be able to fit into a childs XL but the butt might be too small..
My measurements are really off for most of the premade sizes. My waist is 23", around my butt is 33", and my length from waist to floor is 37"

Okay so I did as much research as I could and I went with getting our monofins from finfun and my little sisters skin from finfun as well
I got my skin from suntail as the sizing was better for me there. I just ordered this morning so I'll post pictures when they arrive!

From what I understand, the Mertailor EcoTail works best with the Aquarius monofins. They have completely different fluke shapes.

I have a Finfun and I love it! I just ordered Mahina Mermaid Fin along with a fabric tail from Aqua Tails to go with it! I feel like this fin has a lot more power to it. The Fin fun is great to, I can't complain at all but I am really excited for my new tail to arrive.
