I wondered how you guys came up with yours and what your inspirations were. Did you choose according to the market in your area or was it something very personal to you. I'd really like to hear about your experiences forming your mersona and what sort of features you chose to incorporate.

Well, I'm very socially inept as an autistic person, so I didn't want my mersona to be a cutesy, bubbly type of mer. I'm more of a party goer, the "hello, sailor" type of mermaid, despite my outer appearance!
My sister helped me with my name, as I was using my first name for three years. I'm still working on the rest of my story!

My mersona involves living tattoos, a sea hag's magic, and a bad fish sandwich. ;)

Mine is still in development. But essentially, I am taking aspects of my own life and the things I love, along with my future career and combining those in a way that makes sense for my mersona.
i love animals with all my heart. They are my soul, my spirituality and my entire existence. I want to train exotic animals for ,y career and my mersona is one of those gifted with animal speech and while she has few merrfriends, the entire ocean of animals are at her beck and call. In the human world, she teaches about ocean safety and helping the animals. I am hoping to someday be able to bring some of the animals I work with outside the water (seals, alligators) to tailed events to help show off their beauty as well as how to be safe around them.

I'm kind of still in process of developing mine. But she used to be a human who followed the voice of a hippocamp to become a child of the sea.
She takes after my own personality in a sense where as she's kind of quiet and shy at first but she gets bolder and more bubbly the more she gets to know people :)
The name honestly kind of came from nowhere. But I guess I was inspired by the nymphs of Greek and Roman folklore :3

I am new to mer-ing and I just ordered my first fabric tail last night.
My name is my modeling name that I adapted from the DC character The Riddler. I related to his character's original story a lot (super smart but nobody believed him and now he feels like he constantly has to prove himself to the world, and I really LOVE a good riddle).
So far for my look/story, I've always loved pirates and I guess I am going for a pirate mermaid type of deal with a little bit of gypsy...
I'm still working out the kinks haha.
