Hi all!
My name is Kate, 19, and I live in NH.

I just got my first tail (finfun) yesterday and went for a swim, and after lurking on here for a month or so, I'm finally finding my way around the site and wanted to post for the first time! I've never been a water person, but I've always loved mermaids, so the two kind of clash..but I'm working on getting more accustomed to swimming and being underwater. I would love to find an active mer in the area to talk to, even Mass, Maine, or CT would be lovely! I'm hoping to find someone in the area to connect with and learn from, I've never talked to anyone here yet but I'm hoping to be a more active member once the shyness wears off. :)

Hi Katieloo! Welcome to the network!

I do know there are some New England mers around, just not sure where, exactly. I'm in New Jersey, which is quite a hike.

Congrats on the FinFun! Happy swimming and stay safe! :mermaid kiss:

I swim at the Health Club of Concord indoor pool fairly regularly. It's at 7 Garvin Falls Rd, Concord, NH. A guest pass is $12 one visit or a ten visit punch card for $100. I usually go after work, but if you want, I can join you sometime on the weekend. I also adore Newfound Lake at Wellington State Park. That is the natural body of water that pulls at my heart. I make my own swimsuit fabric tails to go over a monofin.
