Newcomer here~!

I live in Richmond, VA and I'm looking for fellow mers in the area! I don't have my own tail yet, but that dream will come true someday!

Also does anyone know any mer-friendly pools in the RVA area? Once I get my tail, I don't think I'll get out of the water again!

Hey, I live in the Richmond area too! I don't necessarily know of any mer-friendly pools, but I know a ton of pools in the area.

My parents own a 40'x20' pool in Fredericksburg and I know they would welcome a mer meet up there!

Hello! I live about thirty minutes away from Richmond and I go there quite often. On the topic of mer-friendly pools, I would suggest SwimRVA (swimrichmond.com). Though you have to pay ($8 for a day pass), the place is great. They have three pools, the competition pool (probably the best for mermaiding, though you kind of have to do laps, how you do them is up to you), the therapy pool which houses two treadmills and is nice and warm, and a family pool which has more of an open free swim but is pretty shallow. I don’t know for sure if they allow mermaid tails, however they host a summer mermaid camp for kids and have flippers and things so it seems like they would be a good bet. I will know for sure as soon as I get my tail!

Hello! I live about 30 minutes away from Richmond as well! I am just getting back into mermaiding, and would love to meet more mers near me!

Hey all! I just wanted to share that my friend and I have made a pod facebook group for RVA if you wanna join. We're trying to start planning monthly meet-ups if you're looking for an excuse to swim.
