I couldn't find anything like this in the search, so feel free to scold me if I didn't look enough :p

I live in a 4 season climate, and I can't always swim in my tail. I want to try to utilize it year round, but mostly for volunteer and for-fun things. The only thing I could think of was being in parade floats and dressing up my tail and myself to match the theme (ie. christmas, 4th of july), but other than that I can't think of anything..is there actually anything else, or does anyone else have ideas? I haven't done any events yet, since I'm a new mer, but I want to compile some ideas.

My local used bookstore has either monthly or weekly book readings. A lot of libraries and whatnot do that as well. You could find one or a few books on oceanography or mermaids and read them to the kids. Also things like hospital visits to sick children seem like a pretty obvious one if you have a mertender or a chair.
