A friend of mine posted something to me earlier today that sparked my curiosity about the website, so I did a quick mermaid search to see what would come up and fell in love with a lot of the items. So I thought I would scoot on over here and post a link to it, in case anyone else wanted to check it out too. :)

Lot of nice stuff, even though the samples are digitally created, and it looks like a lot of...appropriated without permission...artwork.

heh This is why I watermark every finished art piece before posting it on the interwebs. Doesn't always stop them if they are determined enough but it does hinder them a bit, especially since my watermark is a bit of a pain in the tush to remove. :p

On a side note, as an artist, I am considering looking more into this site (as well as a few others) and see if it is something that can be useful or not for my artwork. I've worked with sites like Cafepress and wasn't impressed with the turnout. Lots of quality problems and damaged products. Very frustrating. So I don't know, I'm picky but we'll see. :thinks:

CafePress depends on you to market your stuff. A lot of these other sites let you think they are selling your work and then are selling merchandise with your artwork elsewhere, without your knowledge or permission.
