I really need a silicone top for a photo shoot I have coming up (wanted to do within
the next two months) that we cannot schedule until I get a new top.
All 3 of the people whom I wanted tops from are apparently busy & cannot make one.

I want it to be tight enough because I always have problems where you
can see down into the top because I never seem to fill it out.
I wear a bra size 32 or 34 A. I would consider purchasing a USED top
if I felt really good about it. I need something that is going to match more than one tail so
it's likely I would go for a really natural seaweed colored top but if anyone has one
please send me photos just in case.

I have problems with every single mermaid top I have & I am just fed up.
SILICONE ONLY. I've tried plain shells not mounted on a bra and absolutely hated it.
My strap free glue on top was a disaster because my breasts were too small so it simply
would not stay put & I spent 3 days getting the medical glue off of my skin.
I have had way too many bad experiences with other types of tops in the past 3 years.
It has been a nightmare so I request silicone ONLY, please.
I'm at the end of my line here.

If anyone could help, I'd really appreciate it!

My dream top would look something like (but all options are appreciated. I love
window shopping):

Thank you very much. I will keep that in mind. At this point I am so frustrated any small piece of information is very helpful. (:

If anyone else wants to sell a used top or has suggestions, please let me know!

I am the same exact size as you Patches. I made my own mermaid top using a skin tone bra. The straps are clear plastic so it looks strapless but it is not. The straps can also be removed but I leave them on. The bra itself is meant to be able to be converted into a strapless bra so it is more sturdy. I covered the front with fake plants, beads, pearls, and used E6000 glue to glue some dichroic glass to the center of the top.

After making it I didn't use it. I was so afraid to use it for fear that it would fall off. Then I finally had an opportunity to do a test swim when no one was around if the top did in fact malfunction. I had no problem with it. Then a few weeks ago I went on a weekend trip to Vortex Spring with a bunch of friends. On one of the days I wore my mermaid top. I got complements on the top and when I swam in the spring with my tail and top on I didn't have any problems. The top felt great but of course out of habit I kept touching it to make sure it wasn't falling. It didn't give me a problem though.

If I did however have a problem, I would buy some fishnet and sew it to the bra to make it into a halter top. I have a feeling that a halter style top might hold much better than one with the straps just going over your shoulder.

I know some of the mers on here make and sell silicone starfish. Perhaps you could buy some silicone starfish and make your own top using them and a good bra base that you have tried on and know will work?

Anyways, I wish you lots of luck and since I am the same size as you, I am interested to see what you will end up getting. :)
