Hello there merfolk! Im very new to the world of professional mermaiding and most of what i do is for charity! Unfortunatley im a bit land locked and live in the desert so i was thinking of getting a portable tank for my events. Have any of you used these? I called and im waiting on. Quote for one from the show Tanked I just hope it will be worth it and that it will bring a little magic to the kids in my small town.

Unless you have a lot of money, patience, strength, a way to transport it, and lots friends willing to help, I would not suggest a tank. You would be better off starting with a small kiddie pool, or even a larger portable pool.

I agree with BlueMermaid

I've done tank work in the past. It's hard work, it requires a staff, and if you plan on moving it there are so many other factors to consider (trailer big enough to pull it, truck big enough to pull trailer, filtration system, somewhere to store it) but to mention that each venue has to be set up to house such a thing. The ground has to be flat, have a foundation able to support over a ton of weight etc.

If you're set of having a tank, consider buying a used 550gal dunk tank (standard size) they are lightweight and easier to move/fill
Or a kiddie pool and make it look like a lagoon.

I have started looking into kiddie pools just trying to figure out how to make them not look so cheesy lol

I look at those pools atm too, and won't go for the blow-up ones. But a blow-up shell will be definitely there :)
