Need some insparation from fellow mers

Hi, i have a question and i need some insparation

Question = how to desing a nice tail, if i draw something on paper it looks like crapp. So any tips/tricks for me.

Insparation = i am the dawn mermaid ( de dageraad means the dawn ) and i would like to desing something on my tail that will fit with my name. So i was wondering if one of the fellow mers here on the forum would like to share there insparation with me.

I've had some issues with designing too ut I feel like you are in a good place. There are lots of images o. Google that can giv you ideas on a fluke shape you like. So start with that and the basic body design then add on some fins and play around with it to see what shapes you like. You've already got a good colour scheme with Dawn going on so just make a few line copies once you have the design and colour in a few versions.

Start a board on Pinterest and save all the images that reflect what you think a dawn mermaid would embody. Mermaid photos in styles you like, favorite fish, morning sunrises, etc. After a while, you'll have a collection of images that will show a theme of what you like most. If you are making your tail, you can use them as your inspiration board, if you are having a tail made, your tailmaker will be able to sketch ideas until you have your dream tail. Don't worry about your drawing skills, you just have to get the idea across!

As far as like designing a tail goes, I know a lot of tail makers have templates you can print out to use as a base :D They usually leave them blank so you can just add the colors schemes you want.

As far as like finding "dawn"esque colors. I actually found this color map that might help :)

No problem :D I use color maps for almost everything when I'm designing stuff
