Ideas For Making a Monofin Not Slip Off My Feet?

So I have a monofin but everytime I put it on, it falls off. The strap just dosen't do it's job well, its a Finis monofin, the one that's meant for younger kids to learn how to dolphin kick, sorry I don't know what it's actual name is. I don't have the money to buy a better one, so what should I do to make it stay on my feet? Would wearing socks meant for the water help? If so, please send me a link.

Is it a finish aqauris or something like that name. I have exactly the same problem. I made an elastic strip to it from one side of the band to the other side. The elastic goes over my feets and holds te band up. It works a bit better then without it.
