I just got my first monofin in the mail, and I tried it on. It fits perfectly, except, I have one little problem. It's made for normal feet. I don't have normal feet. My toe bends inwards and the bone sticks out a bit, so with the monofin on, it really kinda hurts. Do I need to get a new one, or is there a way around this? I'll post a picture of the exact problem in a bit.

Oh no! Which monofin do you have? I know that I had a similar problem with mine and I have the Finis Wave. It turns out mine just needed to be stretched out a little bit. :0

Oh yeah I see it. D: you can definitely try stretching out the foot pocket. I just stretched mine out by wearing it often and kind of breaking it in like you would a new shoe, but I know that if you're very careful you can use heat to stretch it out. Anyone else have ideas?

I'm not sure if I can. The inner part is a harder plastic, and the bone really presses against it. I might just have to get foot surgery. My feet destroy all shoes I've ever owned anyway.

I have the same monofin and the same foot structure.

I usually just end up getting wider shoes, but that wasn't an option with the fin, so quite frankly, I figured I just have to suck it up since there's nothing I can do.

Surgery is a good idea. I've been thinking about it for a long time.

Really not trying to sound negative or rude. I've just dealt with this problem since I was 6 or so, since I wore shoes that were too small for me for 2 years.
