I liked when you said, lets give kids the oportunity to swim in tails where they are supervised and safe, because if not they are going to do it elsewhere. That should give pools something to think about. Naturally, they may be only concerned about not being sued, instead of about providing a safe space for kids to swim.

Thanks for the positive feedback! It's crazy because when I did research for my blog on breath holding I found out a lot of water deaths in pools are people on swim teams dying from breath holding, but in my research I couldn't find one example of a pool being SUCCESSFULLY sued as a result. Even with the rare free diving deaths, successful law suits havent happened (those are ocean though). So for pools to fall back on that I feel is just an excuse you know? No one's been able to really sue pools for much in general, and it's not like many pools dont have syncro teams, swim teams, diver training etc.

I really had to think on my fins with this interview. I only had 3 hours of sleep, we were late and it was live TV and as you can see I barely got the tail on right (it was full of sand, ick!) I did mess up a few words and drop a few things hahaha. But she told me seconds beforehand that I could speak for 5 mintues and she'd keep the questions really open ended so that was awesome :)

The video has been viewed 20,000 times so far, and finfun shared it too.

Funny behind the scenes, when I dropped the finfun tail it was because there was a needle left in it from when I repaired it ahhh and I ran my hand across and pricked it lol

Raina, my gosh, live TV? You did FANTASTIC!! I gave once a recorded interview (in English), and I confused verbal times and forgot words in my sentences, LOL!

The thing about the tail skin? It did not look weird at all, it just seems it slipped through your fingers :thumbs-up:

About the pools, I understand even less the banning now.

Thank you it means so much to me. I have a concussion right now and it affects my speech a lot I find. So i did flub a few words (had trouble saying mobile-mermaid-school haha)

I am really so thankful this video has been recieved so well I have only seen one negative comment!
