Hello everyone!
After almost 3 years of research I finally decided to start working on my idea :lol:
I really like the cool realist bend that the H2o tails have and if I manage to recreate that I'll be happy xD.
I'm following Jinx's method for the extension. I'll use neoprene and silicone caulk for the body part of the tail
I've already made the plaster mold of the fluke (previoulsy sculpted in clay) and some silicone tests (sorry about the blue silicone) :

I've already ordered the neoprene from aliexpress, now I just need to wait.
I originaly thought that I wanted a blue tail with some detail with darker blue, but I'm open to sugestions!
Thank you all for reading this!

Thank You!! I've seen your thread and let me tell you! Even know that the extension didn't work, the job you made in your tail is really impressive :D

If you don't mind, I think that using a PVC tube for the extension mechanisms is not a good idea, the pipe will not bend at all which will make swimming harder without any good propulsion, thats the problem I saw on her swimming video.

What do you recomend for the extension? I also thought of the PVC tube because I have some at my house, they're actually kinda flexible. Polycarbonate (Lexan) works?

Bro im in the process of ingeneering a Lexan extension so of you wait until I makeit and test it if it works then yes i would recommend Polycarbonate.

I know it's not even close to perfect but I like the result. I have to repaint some areas cause I'm dumb and I painted some of the lighter blue with the darker one. I'll post better pics tomorrow
I'm painting the 2nd half tomorrow :thumbs up:

how is your suit around your waist? it will need to hug your waist and be tight in order to stop it creeping down your body. looks good btw. :)
