How long is the silicone green period?

I am starting a silicone tail and I'm ready to jump into the project but am hesitant to start because I'm worried about running out of silicone and then passing the green period. I am ordering more silicone just in case, but I read somewhere that the green period was five days, anyone know if this is true?

I think it depends on the type of silicone used, the shore, and if you've cut it with anything. It's best to directly ask the distributor of the silicone you're using. If it's dragonskin I believe they have their own forum, tutorial videos, and a chart somewhere
