I really prefer the dolls with the jointed rubbery tail, but I'm not a big fan of fabric costume tails. While usually, I prefer Barbie over MGA, I really like how the Storytime Collection and Moxie Girlz mermaid tails are articulated more like actual tails, rather than legs in a costume.
