Is there a list of all mermaid CONS or gatherings for 2017?

I live in mid-Florida and I saw a lot of hype and chit-chat over the NC Mermania!
My tail will be here with me in about a month and I want to find some mermaids to befriend and have the occasional hangouts with!
It doesn't have to be a con here in Florida, just within the US!

I didn't see any thread specifically listing all 2017 mer events, but can anyone enlighten me on the ones they know about?

I believe Mermania is the only active official one at the moment, but others are in the works just not 100% confirmed

Mermania is the only one I know of that is confirmed, but I know the folks out on the west coast here are working on Kelpstock. Not sure where that is at in its planning stages though.

I feel like there just aren't enough active mers in the community to create more than one or two big conventions per year in the U.S, but our numbers are growing every year, so I can see more cons happening in the future :>

Eden and Christomer are working on one in South Florida later next year, but I don't know the status of it yet. I think that one is FL Merfest. I would highly suggest joining a few FL mermaid groups or the Pod of the south mermaid group on FB for more info on local mermaid meetups. Florida merfolk usually get together randomly and often.
