clearing your ears

I finally learned how to clear my ears without plugging my nose! Swallow! sounds weird, but it totally works for me. As soon as I really start feeling the pressure I just pretend I just took a swig of soda and swallow it. Pop goes the ears! Yay!

That's awesome! Also, if you are willing to open your mouth underwater, sometimes opening your mouth (like you're yawning) works too! Glad you found something that works for you

Swallowing? I'm a diver and I'll admit I never thought of that. Thanks for the info! I'll try it out at fifty feet next time we go!

Yeah... I just did it, wasnt really thinking about it when I did it, in fact, my ears popped and I was thinking "hey, how did I do that?" lol anyway, I'm glad I figured it out. I dont think mermaids look very mermaid-ey when they plug their noses. lol
