This is basically a sequel to A Tinder romance between a human girl and a merman (http://mernetwork.com/index/showthread.php?14144-A-Tinder-romance-between-a-human-girl-and-a-merman), because it's another ridiculous story from a date.

I asked this girl out, and we were decided to meet for lunch in Downtown LA. We agreed on a place downtown that has a rooftop restaurant and bar with a nice view. It also has a pool, so I suggested bringing a swimsuit just in case we chose to go swimming:

Honestly I don't want to freak someone out on a first date, but if she dares me then of course I'm going to do it. I brought my tail, and I arrived before she did. When she showed up I was just hanging out in the pool.

She was pretty surprised when she showed up, because evidently she didn't actually expect me to do it. Anyway, I told her I should probably get changed so we could go eat, but she said I should stay in the tail. Of course I obliged. We sat at a table next to the pool. There we were, just having lunch on a Thursday afternoon in downtown LA, and she's dressed totally normally, and I'm just in a tail. I took this photo of the table while she was ordering drinks for us.

We actually intended to meet at The Standard, but then I found out their rooftop restaurant was closed for a private event. We ended up going to the rooftop restaurant of the Ace Hotel, which I had never been to. It was really nice, although the pool is smaller than The Standard.

By the way, that's awesome that you've been to The Standard. Welcome to MerNetwork! Always great to see more SoCal mers.
