I did a blog on my fitness journey over the past year, working with a personal trainer so I could continue to overcome my mobility disorder to keep swimming. He gave me lots of insight into specific fitness for merfolk!

Your story really is similar to mine. I have a few strange conditions. I have to be strong, or else I'll always be in pain, like you, Raina. On top of that, I can't swim in chlorine or be around hot tubs, because I have an extreme sensitivity to it. So thank you for inspiring me. Between you and my favorite Force wielder, Daisy Ridley, I have a lot to look up to. Thank you. You not only inspire me as a mermaid, but as a regular old human too.

This is a super awesome Blog topic! I have a few conditions that make it difficult to convince myself to get up (even harder to convince myself to work out), but it's such an inspiration to hear from other Mers! -Especially you Miss Raina! Thank you so much for posting!

Congrats Raina! I'm so happy for you. :)

I'm at the opposite spectrum I suppose, growing up playing different sports and dancing ballet for over a decade. I had an active lifestyle; not the best eating habits but with the calories I constantly burned, it didn't matter, plus I was young. I loved gym, I loved sports, I loved being active. Then I was injured (broken and dislocated bones), and more piled up over the years (possible soft tissue damage), plus mental illness, and it just shot my motivation and my ability to get back to it. I had motivational spurts throughout my first two years of college, to get active and whatnot, but it never really stuck.

Now I recently started an intense pilates month workout, just trying to keep up with it. It's hard, especially when my flexibility sucks and I know I've done a lot of the moves before, much better too. But I'm hoping just a little at a time, working up to getting through the whole thing. I'll start to see the results others have gained from the same experience. It also helps to part of a community of self and shared love.

So thank you for sharing your story and experiences. I hope your journey continues well. May the force be with you ;)

Hi! From fitness tracking to navigation, garmin (https://garmin.pissedconsumer.com/review.html) devices have become very popular among many consumers. Users are happy to buy their smartwatches and fitness trackers because they know they will get the most functionality for their money. Fans of outdoor activities or just travelers enjoy using their GPS navigators and are confident that they will never go astray because the Garmin device is the number one choice for them.
