Hello!
I'm a newbie mermaid, and after swimming in the pink fabric tail I made years ago I decided I wanted to upgrade. So now I'm saving up for materials to make a latex tail first (yay!). But I have one issue. Airbrushes are really really expensive, and if I get a cheap one I don't think it can handle latex at all. I personally have nothing against hand painting it, but I was wondering. With an airbrush you get this nice gradient effect that looks really good on tails (see finfolkproductions etc etc etc). I don't know if that's possible with a regular brush. Anyone who has any experience on this matter? I haven't bought anything yet, I'm planning on buying everything once I have all the money but I want to know if I really reaaaally should invest in an airbrush if I want a nice looking tail. I hope I did this right, this is my first post.
