I have been officially on the form for a few months now, but I have used the threads for a year or so. I realised that I had neglected to formally introduce myself. So here I go....

My name is Isabelle, but I mostly go by Izzy. I am 15 and I live in the heart of Southwest Virginia. There are not really any Mers were I come from and everyone thought I was crazy when I started looking for mermaid tails.

I love everything to do with nature, espically the water. I have only been to the beach four times in my life, but I visit Ripley's Aquarium in the Smokies religiously. I have been going no less than 5 times a year since I was born and spend 4 hours or more each time I go. In that time I developed a special connection with the sea turtle Sally. It sounds crazy, but you will just have to believe. (it so deep that I knew she was perfectly calm when the wildfires were racing towards her and animals know if something bad is about to happen to them).

I bought my first tail from MagicTail, after a long summer obsession with H20, in Ariel green, around three years ago. I have always wanted a silicone tail and after a year of loving Finfolk's and watching YouTube tutorials of people making silicone tails, while starting that it was super expensive and I would never try it, I decided to take the plunge and start making my own tail. You can find my thread on the network floating around somewhere. So far all is going well but I haven't even touched silicone yet, so we'll see how it ends up this weekend.

Some of my other hobbies include playing guitar, singing, writing songs, painting, writing stories (novel in progress), crafting, and sewing.

I hope I get to become friends with some you guys!

Can't wait to see some of y'all at MerMainia!
