Hey all!
I'm looking for an underwater photographer to do a photoshoot with! I am in the Maryland area, but I also will be headed down to the Caribbean in January if anyone is down there:
Jan 5 Grand Turk
Jan 6 Amber Cove, DR
Jan 13 Cozumel

I found some semi-local (Virigina) underwater mermaid photographers, but none of them have bothered to answer my emails/messages!
I can't afford to spend much but I really really want some nice pics!

That's funny. Im a merman from the Dominican Republic. I won't be able to make it to Amber Cove though. It's too far away for me. If you could make it to Bayahibe, i could do it, and for free.

Oh awesome! How far is Bayahibe? Google is saying it's about 20-25 minutes, is that correct? If so it totally seems doable. I'll see what I can do :)

Bayahibe is not 25 minutes from Amber Cove, i think it's a 4 hour dive XD. Amber Cove is Puerto Plata and it's to the north of the Island. Bayahibe is South, east of Santo Domingo. If you can, do the effort. It's worth it.

Speaking as a photographer, not sure how you worded it, but possibly they didnt respond if you said you cant afford much. When contacting them, possibly ask for TFP (Trade for Prints). Many of the photographers I know are willing to do that. Good luck :)

Is it on Puerto Plata? Cause there's an Amber Cove near Bayahibe, but it's a town. Amber Cove Puerto Plata is a tourist attraction, so it might be Puerto Plata. Check your cruise schedule or ask if it's Puerto Plata or nearby.

when
messaging photographers i don't say i can't afford much i simply ask what their prices are and they do not answer.

I would love to go to mermania but when I looked the posing class with photos were all sold out so I don't think I will be making the trek down
