I am a lionfish siren. I don't lure sailors to their death with my voice though, I help direct them away from rocks. I would say I'm a more mysterious type of mer, and live in a grotto. (I am planning on my future house having an indoor/outdoor pool into my mermaid room. It'll be a grotto.)

I really like a natural feel to everything. So, no sparkles unless they're nature's own! But I do love sea shells, and all types of fish. My room would be, well, the same room as my mermaid grotto room. Rocks and plants all the way! The rest of my house is going to be more human, since I've lived on land for most of my life.

Looks don't matter :) I had a friend who dressed "emo" but was a total nerd and I knew a guy who looked super tough (I mean, this guy was RIPPED) but he was really just a big teddy bear on the inside.
When people (and merfolk!) are building their own look, they often try to reflect their personality, but you shouldn't worry too much about that. What really counts is what's on the inside <3

Typically, I'm a bubbly happy mer who gets along with most everyone. I love doing sparkly crafts, chatting up fairies, and soaking up the sunshine. However, I've also got a bit of a darker side to me as well. While I don't lure sailors to their death, I do enjoy scaring people from time to time by sneaking up on them and through dressing a bit Goth. Aaaaand.... in addition to having a collection of shells, pearls, and sparkly gems, I do have quite the stash of bones, stones, and furs that have caught my eye. I've always been drawn to the darker things in life, though I try to balance that out with including some happy-glittering things too. It's a Pastel Goth Mermaid's life for me! :dance:

I will have a plain, silver tail with more spiky fins. I would love to have a top inspired by a pirate flag (I've seen one like it here on Mernetwork before!), as well as more natural ones. As for personality, chaotic neutral fits Meeri pretty well!

I am a sweet, innocent, and somewhat naive mer. I am funny, smart, bubbly, and adventurous. My mermaid form is just an extension of my personality that gives me the confidence to be myself. Joie is joy in french (or at least that is what my mother told me,) I strive to live up to my name. I can be very shy around sailors they are very pretty to look at, but not so easy to talk to at first. But they think she is fun and kind as she helps them steer their ships away from storms and other dangers. I love the colord blue, purple and gold. I am often underestimated for my size My grotto would have shelves over flowing with shiney shells, glowing creatures, and odd little bits of nostalgia from friends that remind me of how much I love them.

Huh, I don't really know! My personality is such a weird mix tbh; I love being social, and I'm kinda on the 'quirky' side, but I can be quite quiet and intimidating. I'm also the mom friend :lol:
I would probably live in an underwater cave (I always imagine something like the Blue Grotto in Croatia- Look it up, it's incredible! A mermaids dream!) But, I'd probably explore sunken ships and use parts from that to decorate my grotto. I love high-fashion and sparkly things as well, so I guess I'm a mix of dark, mysterious, and fancy with lots of sparkles!

ive worked a bit more on this actually! Im a demigoddess who was always fascinated by the human world! I spent a lot of time swimming alongside pirates, collecting any shiny trinkets and coins they gave me or dropped. I have a bit of a temper, and can have some tinkerbell tantrums... I love to tell stories about the friends ive made in my travels, especially about a few of the VERY pretty princesses ive met... humans are a bit odd and difficult to understand, but theyre so fascinating!!!

I'd have to say my mer-personality wouldn't change much from who I really am. Shy and almost just a little too socially awkward when I first meet someone (I don't know what to say, online is easier haha) but once I warm up I'm bubbly and fun. I love exploring and finding new things, and just really enjoy spending time out in the water.

As far as where I'd live, likely a grotto of sorts. It's something I've thought on a lot for one reason or another and I always get the feeling that I'd love a beautiful cave like space with some bioluminescence at night and a whole slew of glittery trinkets and odd baubles to be seen at night. That or a house woven out of kelp but, that doesn't sound like it would last as long lol

I love to sing and everyone tells me I’m really good at it, so I might be some kind of siren. Only problem is I’m too nice to lure men to their deaths, so I’d only sing in private.
I’d probably live in a dry grotto so I could collect stuff to read. I imagine that written literature is sparse underwater, so I’d hoard human books left on the beach and re-read my favorites over and over again (just like human me).

I don't quite know. On one hand, I like kinda Greciany mermaids like from The Little Mermaid, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and such. On the other, celtic and norse mythology with selkies and sirens and such is pretty cool. I'd say siren, because of my aptitude to singing and music, but idk if there's any mythological support for male sirens. I'm definitely super chill about everything though, it takes a lot to get me angry.

Oh, this is such a difficult one! My personality, I think is pretty moral, sweet, and pure, although I kinda want to be more than "the nice one" with my friends, which is what I've been for years. I'm pretty level headed, loyal, and I love the arts. In terms of my flaws, I can be quite stubborn, self conscious, and incredibly naive from time to time.

In terms of myself as a mer, even though I don't have a tail or anything, I would definitely be a siren/triton, because of how much I love to sing. If I've talked to you before, you might know that I'm really into Musical Theater, and in another thread soon, I'll talk about it. My deep vibrato definitely reminds me of Sirens in movies and similar characters. Since I uphold a strong moral code, but am naive, I guess I kinda don't really understand what I'm doing with my voice.

Hmmm... My mersona lives in a river and migrated to the ocean in the cold winter. She lives in caves and lives on her own. She got her name (kit pesem) from the whales she met on her first venture out to the ocean. It roughly translates to whale song. Her favorite colors are blue, yellow, green, and black. She is a bit mysterious and cautious when approached. But loves making new friends. She is a protector of her river and collects the things humans leave behind. She hatched when the moon covered the sun. She is still young and adventurous, but is shy around unfamiliar things and humans.
