]Well, thought it would be cheaper to make one here in the land down under than buy one. I have all thethe Plasticine and, moulding material here from other projects, so I thought why not.

Completed are my fins and fluke, just trying to clean the fluke mould now. (Not enjoying that bit) pigments have been bought and hopefully I can get the silicone soon.

Fin arrived a few days ago, picture along with a comparison picture with my Hydra and Wave. Picking up the silicone tomorrow -yay- Also cleaned out my fluke mould with a dremel and the plastic brush attachment, makes life sooo much easier.

I didn't like the buckles on mine, so I replaced them with another type.

Jaffa: I'm debating to change the straps too.

But thank you! The pigments took ages to mix right so I can avoid painting if I have to.

I got these instead. I just didn't like how ugly and bulky the original straps were. And how unevenly placed they were on the fin.

Yea, it took me 10 mins to put the original straps back on. The holes on the buckles is a bit off center, and odd size. Like not a perfect circle. Well on mine anyways!

The straps that originally come with it get put on at a 90° angle to how they sit on your ankle, then turn to the normal place. This is meant to stop them coming off but in a tail it's hard.

I did it after I opened the box, just to see if there were any difficulty removing and putting them, back on.

Did you get instructions with yours or some kind of brand labelling?

I didn't get anything with mine other than the invoice slip.

Yea, just a little slip of paper with my address, their address on the package. So not really an invoice! If only they gave it a name or some kind of branding, other than "mermaid paddle"

I changed a couple of colours but thankfully the warmest place outside is around 45 Celsius (human thermometer stops after 42 so I'm guessing) scales are curing in about half an hr.

Slowly plodding along. As you can see with the temperature gauge a few posts back, that's what we have down here for the next while. Need to get this done in the next week or so

Thank you. Slight delay in the tail though, as I had to move yesterday and packing/unpacking is sooo much fun -_-', plus I have my partners 30th tonight and I had to make a cake!! (might not look that good, but it tastes great)

What are you using as a base for the tail? As in, what are you pinning the scales too?
I love your colour scheme!! Also, yay for more aussie mers!!

Thank you. Base is the power mesh, called poly mesh here. Behind that is tape and sheets/clothing. More Australian mers are good!!

Not sure, 200 ish, it's not the most professional top. I'll take closer pics when I get home, it has little barnacles!

I really cant take decent pictures, need a new phone or better lighting.
But theres, barnacles, shells and starfish.
