I've been working on Delphis' makeup for a bit. I was told I can improve on the makeup. I'm stuck. What should I add?

Brighter blues and greens. What he has on, makes him look like he got beaten up.

Hi there! I'm just now seeing your comment. I like the tribal, masculine look, but also want to be able to work with my baby face. I've done a few more tests after receiving my tail and there's no green in the tail design.
Delphis is a very playful, mischievous mer. His big 'thing' you might say are bubbles. I'm wanting to incorporate that into the design as well.
I want to keep the design around the eyes as much as possible, but without having everything be too crowded.
