tail designs for transmasc/ftm boys?

As a younger kid, I knew I was mer before I knew I was a boy, so I went through a couple lovely summers of mermaidhood with a shiny purple tail and long blonde hair, and it was pretty fun. Being a mermaid kinda lightened the discomfort I felt being a girl. Then, when I started transitioning, everything got even better! But I've been tiptoeing around the issue of getting back in touch with my mer-self, balancing out my masculinity, femininity, and my badass merman self to get back to the water. So, this summer, I want to start a brand-new tailmaking project! But first, I need ideas!
So, does anyone out there have any tips or tricks, ideas or inspiration, on making a cool ftm merboy tail that I could sneak a binder in?:confused:

there a quite a few fish that change sex from FTM maybe base your over tail design off those specific species
not sure how to incorporate a binder though, however i think there some threads floating around about tops for mermen for the guys who don't want to go toppless

You can be any fish that you want to be. There is no right or wrong tail. Choose what you love best and go from there.

Okay so I was talking to my ftm friend about this and we came up with a few ideas:
1. You could try wearing a binder under a rash guard that you've decorated, like with netting or fake seaweed or something. It's hard to make a rash guard look merman-ish but it's been done.
2. I've seen pictures of mermen wearing really badass harnesses, so I'm thinking that maybe if the straps are positioned right, they could conceal the fact that you're wearing a binder that matches your skin tone. Does that make sense? I actually sketched up a design for one but I don't have it with me; I could send a pic later if you want.

OMG I KNOW THIS THREAD IS OLD BUT I HAD AN IDEA
So parrotfish are really cool and really recognizable. Their scales are upside-down and the highlights on them are AWESOME and they come in lots of different colors.
They also happen to change gender throughout their lives.
How cool would it be to have a parrotfish-inspired tail that incorporates the light pink and blue of the trans pride flag?!
