Koi fish inspired sequin-silicone mermaidtail for Mer Shasha - By A Splash of Magic

I'll be making a koi fish inspired tail for Mer Shasha. The tail is a tribute to her mother who passed away. I'm really honored the asked me to make a tail with such a special meaning.

The body of the tail will be made out of sequins, the fluke out of silicone. The hipfins wil be made out of vinyl and fabric.

We picked the colors for the sequins.

I will be meeting her on the beginning of March to make the sleeve for the legs. So this will be quit for a while, but amazingness is coming!

So, the sequins came in, and I made a test patch. The Mermaid Shasha likes it a lot and so do I.

But there will some silence again after this post since I will be finishing another tail before I can continue to work on this one. But now you've got a little update. Yay

I really like the colours. I'm mostly in love with 'oil slick' it is such a pretty combo of colours and so easy to combine with other colours <3

I am always so impressed by people who commit to full sequin tails. I use sequins on some of my tails, but I honestly don't think I have it in me to do a full tail. I'm looking forward to seeing more progress!
