I've seen a few silicone tails made with glow in the dark paint mixed in. Are there any drawbacks as far as swimming in the day, especially with taking pictures, or the paint fading over time?

I mixed both night glow and normal pigment together as the yellow night glow is orange in daylight. But by mixing it it looks more yellow but still glows yellow at night or with a blacklight. ;)

Ooh, that sounds lovely! Thank you.

I used it pure in one of my silicone samples ^^ It's cool in the dark, but it looks like snot in daylight. I'd advise to always mix it with normal pigment.

See an example, here :)

I didn't know there was glow-in-the-dark pigment for silicone! That sounds awesome .O.

it's just glow-in-the-dark powder that I bought on ebay ;) works perfect, but as always first test then use ;)

Seconding what happened above, I have Glow pigments in some scales. I poured some pure glow into the molds first, not filling them, then added the color pigment and filled the rest of the way. I did it this way because it looked the best in my swatch tests. Just do small tests first and you should be good.
