MagicTail Question - Should I Glue or Sew sequins?

Hey guys!
I'm new here, so before I explain better my question, I'd like to present myself :)
My name is Mafalda, I'm 21 years old and I am from Portugal!
I recently bought my first tail, which was from MagicTail.de, and I may say I'm extremely happy with it!

I have ordered some sequins from USA, and I wanna put them on the tail.
I have never worked with this type of fabric, which is Spandex from what I heard, so my only question is:

Should I Sew the sequins or Glue them?

You should definitely sew them on. Glue tends to be too week of a bond, which is frustrating because it would be easier.

Definitely sew them on. Glue is not your friend, especially in chlorine. And by the way, your English is perfect! :)

I honestly thought it'd be better sewing them as well, because the fabric is kinda elastic, and I wasn't just seeing how the glue or silicone would work well... It would stretch and the sequins would pop out.

Oh, and I totally forgot to ask one more thing!
Which kind of stitching yarn should I use? A normal one? I'm just afraid it might tear in the salt water or Chlorine.
Last question, I promise =p

I would suggest heavy duty thread, like for upholstery (couches and things). THat stuff is nice and strong.
