Contemplation of Making Bluegill: A Second Silicone Tail

Okay, so I absolutely love the feeling of swimming in a silicone tail! It is so fun to bring joy to kids who have never seen a mermaid in real life before. Seawing, the tail I made last summer is my fantasy tail. One made to fit my personality as a faery turned mermaid. But now I have been craving the craft of making a tail again and am contemplating making one that is more realistic. I have always loved Sunfish, specifically Bluegills and how timid they tend to be. I have a tail design for it that I really like, which I'll have to post later. I'm just wondering if it would be worth it to have two tails... I guess we'll see if my creativity and craving for the feeling of gooey silicone win out in the end. :lol:

Okay so I finally finished a design that I really like. The green I want to be darker and more natural, but I didn't have a colored pencil that fit the image in my mind. I can't decide of I want to make a partial silicone tail this time or a silicone tail...the only problem is funding for the silicone tail. I've been pondering doing a commission to help me pay for my own tail, but I don't know if anyone would come to me since I've only made on full silicone tail before. Anyway, I will post to this thread on my progress of Bluegill once I've decided what to do.

I have had the same image problems when using TapTalk.. you just have to keep trying, sometimes it work, sometimes it does not. i have no idea why it is not consistent.

I started with just planning a tail. But after tons of research, now I have about 5 designs I want to do, and probably have about 10 years of work ahead of me. LOL

Wow it's been forever since I looked at this thread! I got busy with life things, but I did end up making the tail, just a neoprene and silicone hybrid because that is what I could afford. I still very much want to make another full silicone tail and I am willing to do a commission in order to get the funds!
