No Jaffa, you're not the only one. When I was a little boy I loved a children's show called Diver Dan which featured a beautiful mermaid with a silver tail that went all the way up. I imagine clam shells would have been deemed scandalous to kids back in the dark ages.

Thanks! Its so cool having the tail all the way up. There are some vintage mer art with tails like that, and that's what I based my tails on.

I found the place where all the episodes are!!! Turns out this is one of the shows that my Mum has watched! Mum tried to tell me the ending, but I shushed her so bad!
