Going to start making a tail. Trying to plan it out in my head first. Do not really want to post details of it here, for fear it might get stolen. All I can say is that what I will be doing, will be very time consuming.

It will be made out of silicone. ;)

Good luck with this mystery tail.

I am a great planner, but I rarely can get past the planning stage. I get to a point where I have to start doing, and I think "What do I do now? Can I draw some more?" lol
Silicone tails are so awesome. If you feel comfortable, could you possibly share the places where you get the information on how to use silicone? I'm always looking to learn things, especially things that lead to epic tails.

I think it is really unfortunate that certain recent events have hurt the feeling of saftey in sharing ideas in this forum. My favourite threads are the ones where everyone debates techniques, mermaid theories, etc. I really hope that we can find some solution to it.

it is so expensive and hard to do. i made mine cheaply and regret it so far. take the time to experiment. so worth it. never rush

Sadly due to my car needing repairs, I won't be able to work on my tail just yet. Guess more planning can be done.

Ordered the clay... I hope 100lbs is enough. Might as well start on that.

Yay, my monofin came in. It is a lot bigger than I expected.

Clay is being shipped. It took a long time for the order to go through, wow.

I hope so. It will be my first, but hopefully I planned enough of it out.

Was able to pickup 100lbs of Ultracal 30 today. Hope it is enough.
