So I bought this roof sealant stuff, because I read the stuff in it and it had really close stuff to latex....but this stuff didn't work for model making but I though...hhmmm I've spent this money and I can't return it....I might as well see if I can make a clear mermaid top XD I tried this stuff on the a small patch of plastic wrap with Vaseline and the stuff didn't stick so I made a dummy of my boobs, with my mother help. I plan to add stuff over my boobs but I really didn't like the straps being seem with most people mermaid top with fish netting so why not try. This will probably fail but I can't lose trying I already got the stuff might as well try something. I plan to remove the plastic wrap when the top is finished drying.
This stuff take like a week or 2 to dry, so I'm pilling the stuff on top of it's self till it a good thickness. This will probably take a long time but I figure I'll try well I wait for a few more pay check to buy normal latex.
(This stuff is safe on skin when it dries don't worry)

Anything else that isn't aquarium silicone, isn't safe for skin or the environment.

environment maybe but their are a lot of stuff beside silicone that can touch skin when it dry that wouldn't hurt you. I talk this over with my medical engineer uncle he said when it's dry it totally safe on skin contact.

Ok. What about stretch? When you're swimming about, you need stretch so the top has to move with you, not against you.

The stuff when dry is rubber it's really flexible. That why I did a test runt o see if this stuff flexible when dry. I did some re-search this stuff won't hurt the environmental when it dried out. This stuff was mad in the USA where we have stricter environmental rules, so even the making of the product shouldn't have been a problem :)

Seems cool! To be safe, check the MSDS label, and what it says. Here's the MSDS (http://www.sashco.com/hi/pdfs/TRF_MSDS_cartridge.pdf), with info on toxicity and how the chemicals in it affect you.
Hazard StatementsCauses skin irritationMay cause genetic defectsMay cause cancerSuspected of damaging fertility or the unborn childMay cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposureMay be fatal if swallowed and enters airwaysHighly flammable liquid and vapor
... Yikes. I'd avoid that stuff if I were you. You can use it for testing out making a top, but you should really limit exposure, and clean yourself off thoroughly after use.
