Hi,

My name is Propontis (AKA Jason) I live in the Long Beach, CA area and I am totally new to mermading. I have wanted to be a mermaid since I was 7 and saw an episode of Fantasy Island (I know I just dated myself) where Michelle Phillips played the kick ass mermaid Nyah. I stumbled across a Mermania video on YouTube and went nuts. I felt just like the little girl in the No Rain video by Blind Melon. Anyway that is my story in a nut shell.

Welcome! At risk of dating myself as well I remember and was also very inspired by that episode of Fantasy Island! What a memory! You'll​ find that the Cali Pod is very active and welcoming and you're lucky to be near Belmont Pier for the Annual Pirate and Mermaid festival!
