View Full Version : Pasta Extruder/Roller for Clay?
I know I have seen people say in tailmaking threads over the years that they use a pasta extruder or roller (something for pasta, haha) to help with molding clay so that it comes out uniformly and smoothly. Can someone who has used one for this purpose tell me what you have used and how much they cost? The only things I can find are expensive hundred-dollar items used for professional chefs. I was hoping I could get something cheap (say $20). If they all cost in the hundred-dollar range I will have to pass on using one. I can't afford that on top of other tail costs, haha.

You mean like a pasta machine? I googled them and they're like 20 euros but I'm not sure that's what you mean exactly
Haha, yes I have discovered one of them. I think the one I am looking for is an extruder though. It pushes out the clay in a long tubular shape. I had planned to do this so that the veins and ridges on my fluke were more even and smooth. Oh well, I will probably just do it by hand then. I cant find a cheap extrudor anywhere.
