Hey everyone :)

So we got asked to make an appearance at our local Dive In that the local high school has every year to raise money. The night basically consists of the competition pool having the lap lanes completely taken out. There is a front table that each person pays $5 to get into the dive in. Also, there is goodies, pizza & pop, plus popcorn that they sell to raise money also. Two movies will be played, it is usually Finding Nemo (I am trying to get them to change it to the little mermaid :p ) and the second movie is jaws. So, we wanted to have sort of a "mermaid cove" where each person pays an extra $1-2 for a picture with the mermaid. Does anyone have any ideas on how we could keep track of the photos with the people. There are around 500 people that come to this event so we are not sure exactly how to get the photos back to the right person. Any ideas are appreciated! I usually lifeguard these dive ins and have for the last 4 years so this will definitely be a different view!

Probably a spreadsheet with names and emails. If you have a professional photographer with a computer software ect, there's probably some way to keep track of those photos.

If it was me and my sister who like to 'run and gun' things I would have just a computer with a form for names and emails and then just number the photosets. So if a family came first, the photographer would get their name and email down in the #1 spot, snap a few pictures then send them the best one later on.
Better yet would be to delete excess ones so that there is one photo for every group and you can just go down the list and email each one off.

I'm sure there is a software that does this much more efficiently that tourist attractions and festivals use but that is definitely not my forte.

That sounds like so much fun! Good luck with the photos. At work we have a system where we scan cards after taking the photos of each family and then give them the cards so they can see their photos later on. Don't know if you'd have access to any technology like that though

Write each person's name on a board. After taking their pictures, take a final picture of that board. Now, every picture set is followed by the name of the person to whom it belongs.
(or, take the picture of the board before each set. Also you could include the person in the photo of the board, to help in matching it up.)
Then erase the board for the next person.

Thank you all for the great ideas! We do have professional photography equipment and my boyfriend is pretty techy so I'll throw these ideas out to him :)
