Taking off my tail at the pool

Now I have something that has been on my mind ever since I have been mermaiding at public pools putting on and taking off my tail coming and going. I know I'm not a professional mermaid or anything and I don't have a a guy to carry me to change rooms. Sometimes I see children who smile and talk to me and they really believe in mermaids and that I am one it's so fun and magical I love it. But what I don't love is trying to find a way of taking my mermaid tail off when I'm done I try my hardest to find a place where there are no kids looking however sometimes I do get seen and I hate seeing the looks on a kids face when they thought there was magic but there isn't and that is was a costume gladly this has only happened a few times but I really don't know what to do. I love kids their imagination and I have regrets from the times they saw me take off my tail and I don't know how to fix the issue can anyone help?

If you have someone to carry you they could maybe carry you to a dressing room if there are private ones at the pool you are at, and otherwise you could make up like a story that once you get out of the water and your tail dries up you can shed it to get legs, and tell them you have like 1000 now or so. I don't know, kids are usually pretty easy

Thanks for the input I don't really have someone who could carry me at the moment. I did however use the mermaid when wet or using mermaid magic to transform thing it has worked. However taking it off I don't know where to go sometimes in the pool I never know when some kid will walk by something I could do is put the towel over my tail and take it off underneath.
