I'm going to say the obvious which is most definitely take your tail. Some towels may help. In all seriousness that water is going to be 72 degree. If you got a thin body like mine, a wetsuit may help you. Also bring a pair of goggles so you can check out the beauty of the spring underwater. You can always take them off later and go mermaiding to look like a legit mermaid. Definately take pictures. I hope De Leon Spring is as great as Alexander Spring.

Hopefully it won't be crowed - the spring is kinda small. De Leon Springs is really pretty with all of the cypress trees surrounding the spring. There is also a trail that you can walk down and the trail goes between a creek coming directly from the spring and then another creek. You could see about swimming in the creek as well. You can bring some food as well because mermaiding can work up quite an appetite, especially when you are swimming in a cold spring. When you are not moving around much but you are still in the spring it is a good idea to stay in an area with sunlight. It gets awfully cold standing in the spring in the shaded areas. At the larger part of the spring, if you swim down there is a small cave opening to the left closer to the woods. It is fun to swim down there. When I went it was with Merman Marlin and a bass swam up to see what he was doing at the cave entrance haha.

It is a pretty little spring. Another spring nearby is Vortex, which is much larger and my favorite of the two. Vortex is especially good for spending a whole weekend at since they have lodges and you can pitch a tent there, etc.

That is awesome. You seem to go deeper than me. Hopefully you can make it on the 29th at Alexander Spring. I haven't seen any divers when I went mermaiding :( Maybe next time. Did you get any pictures?
