View Full Version : A mistake that turned out for the better!
I recently ordered some slip casting latex from Burman Industries and it came today. Only, instead of slip casting, I received balloon latex which is problematic. I called their office, afraid they would make me pay to ship what I got back and then say that it would take them a long time to reprocess my order. INSTEAD, I talked with a really friendly man who told me he would send me out the slip casting latex so that I would get it by the end of the week. This is majorly important because my tail needs to be finished by the end of next week. What's doubly awesome is that the guy on the phone was like, "I don't know if you have a use for what we sent you but you can keep it." So now I have a free gallon of ballon latex. This is the kind of latex with which bald caps and other appliances that have to be wither really detailed or really strong and stretchy are made. So I'm going to make webbing for fingers.
So, yes, that is what happened to me today. I was excited so I had to share. <3

I was about to say after you make a couple and have it down you should sell them cause I have a feeling that would work way better then what I was going to do for webbed fingers.
That's an awesome idea! Thanks guys. I've got a gallon of the stuff so I'll have plenty to experiment with. I'll keep you posted!

There is a tutorial on webbed fingers already and you need latex, note-card paper thingy, and scissors, plus your hands:doh:
