Yeah, it's weird to me how they're flipping their tails around but nothing happens. It's like they didn't have much purpose behind those movements, just showing off the tail. It's great that they did motion capture so they could coordinate the cg parts to her, but they don't appear to be using it for a good bit of the clip. Her tail is moving independently of anything she does. I guess I feel like if she was moving her tail like that, she'd be moving her upper body too somehow.

I liked the one part where the orca girl is actually swimming though, that past made sense. I want to see more swimming! Anything with that fluid dolphin kick makes me happy <3
I did like it though, I'm happy to see more mermaidy stuff getting out there.

Seeing as I don't understand Chinese, I'm assuming that it's just a video that they play on the screens?

I think the standard of the work on this thing is pretty incredible and the aesthetics are very well done indeed.

To say that there are no real examples of how a mermaid or similar creature would actually move, I'd have to allow them the right to some degree of leeway in this thing.

If this what can be done here and now, just imagine the improvements that will be possible in the future.

its really cool! but i say that they should make the flukes alot bigger because i dont see how in the world they expect mermaids to swim with such small tail fins XD
