Customizing a Finis Tempo Monofin HELP!!!

Hello, i am new here, but i am a long time mermaider! I have had multiple tails and multiple monofins. But today, i am asking for help with customizing my Finis Tempo Monofin. I am purchasing a used Finis Tempo monofin, which i know has been discontinued. But i am planning on cutting it to make it fit a fin fun tail skin, i realize that i will lose a lot of propulsion by cutting it, but propulsion is not really a huge deal to me. I know, sue me. So i just need some help on how i should, or if it is even possible? Any help is great.

From what I recall I think you just use a jigsaw or something to cut the monofin into the shape you want and then use a rotary tool to smooth out the edges so it won't cut the tail skin. I think there's a thread around here somewhere that describes how to do it in detail.
