Sequin/Silicone tail!

Hi!

Soon I'm starting my own sequin tail! But, I had a few questions!

1) I kinda want a silicone fluke. Is it possible and how do I make/attatch it?
2) Should I make a costum monofin?

Hi Lana! Sequin and silicone tails are definitely possible (check out Mermaid Kariel) but not many people have done it! You can look through silicone tailmaking threads for how to make a silicone fluke, but i think attaching them is somewhat of a trade secret! You would probably have to figure out a way yourself!

Whether you should make or buy a monofin is complicated. Some factors to consider: Do you need to make a custom one for the shape of your fluke or can you use one that is premade? Do you have the technical knowledge to build a monofin? Are you confident enough in your swimming ability to be ok if your custom fin fails or breaks while youre swimmming? Have you done enough research to safely make a monofin? There are pros and cons for both, its up to you!
