SORRY I MISSPELLED MERMAID BUT I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO EDIT THE TITLE. Hello all, today i have a somewhat weird question lol. So i photograph dolls sometimes and i would absolutely love to photograph one as a mermaid. My dream mermaid tail is obviously a silicone tail, but i will never be able to afford one. So i was thinking, how hard would it be to make one for a doll? And how expensive? Just a barbi sized doll btw. I wasnt planning on doing scales, just one smooth piece of silicone or latex or something and then paint it. But the problem is i have NO IDEA where to start or even how to make this!! What materials should i use? How should i do it? Please help!!!

If you want a tail like a real silicone tail, it is made from dragonskin silicone. You could probably use a sample kit that is $30.10, but you'd also have to get pigments and clay and plaster for molds.

There's plenty of youtube videos on how to make them. Here's one that I found that looks pretty and simple.
