Hi! My name is Hannah and I'm new to this site and I really want to become a professional mermaid but I have some questions!

Firstly, my fiancé, daughter, dog, and I live in Indiana but want to relocate basically to anywhere else. Towards the end of my pregnancy (about this time last year actually) I learned about professional mermaids and wanted to learn how I could do this. I'm working on my mer-sona now, but basically I'd like some advice on where I could move to get started! I plan on having another job to help support my family until I would be able to get things rolling. Right now I work as a barista and tattoo artist. I was hoping Florida would be good maybe because then my mom might move there too!

Any advice is welcome and appreciated :)

Hi Hannah! First of all a warm welcome to our community! :)

It is so simple to get things rolling, as you said, but with a little bit of patience and time things will settle :)
I think that you can move nearly everywhere you like as to start a mermaid business there isn't a "right place to be" it's just you need to start, doesn't matter from where just start. Anyway Florida is a very good place where to settle a mermaid business from what I heard.
Also try to look for the local pod, I see that generally american mermaids gather together in small and large groups to support each other in the business, in my opinion this is a very strong point from where to start also they can help you with their experience and guide you during your journey :)

I hope that this little bite of advice can help :)

As a professional it is probably the best to be somewhere, where a lot of possible customers are. So I would go to a city / larger town preferable with lake or sea access. Also be careful as the US seems to have mermaid tail bans in some public pools (from what I can read here a lot about).

Note: I am not a professional
