I'm going to make my first tail soon and I really want to use a scale-print fabric. Local fabric store doesn't have any so I'll have to order online, but I couldn't find a guide on this site. What's a good store or brand to buy from? I'm looking for black fabric, so that limits my options. I found one on Amazon from a seller called The Fabric Exchange. It is pricier than other scale print fabrics but I'll spring for it if it's good.

Do you want a local/in your country shop? Or happy for international?
If international is cool, try the Remnant Warehouse.

Great selection of swimming fabrics, and things like scuba knit. :)
