need help on a desgine aspect of my tail? extra fins???

what do people like and dislike about their extra fins? i am wonderinf if i should get any extra fins! i am ggetting a dorsal down the back because in my mind thats needed. but what about all the ankle calf hip fins? do they just ad extra drag and waight? why do people get them? i figured its just an extra thing to damage! and for kids to pull on? just wondering if there was other stuff to consider lol

Yes of course extra fins are an extra thing to damage and for kids to pull, but also you will need to pay attention to it while rolling down your tail to put it on/off.
I personally added hip and ankles fins because I like them in the design of my tail (that you can see here ->https://mernetwork.com/index/showthread.php?15225-My-1-year-long-tailmaking-misadventure!).

But focusing on the pros extra fins will give your tail a very nice and fairy look, also I didn't experienced extra drag from my fins :thinks: I assume it's because they're still very tiny and very still and maybe some bigger and more floating fins may you should try to talk with some of the ladies here who have a Finfolk they seem to me the tails with the biggest extra fins ever!
