Does anybody know if silicone expires, or if it does something weird if it sits for a while? I have an unopened box of a gallon of Dragonskin 10 Medium Silicone that's been sitting for over a year (i haven't had time to work on my tail if you're wondering) and I don't know if it'll do anything???

From my knowledge, unfortunately yes. It says on the smooth on website that is generally expires after 6 months, but I have the exact same kind and it is still curing just fine after 6 months. Maybe it would be a good idea to crack it open and do a small test and see if it's still good?

Here is the link to smooth on. It can tell you a little more about how to store it and how long you can expect it to last.

I'm currently using Dragonskin that I bought about this time last year. It works the same and the cured product seems the same, but the individual parts seem maybe a little thicker than I remember? It makes me worry I might trap some bubbles in the mold. I've avoided it so far, so if it has thickened it hasn't been that much.

My dragonskin is 2 years old and still kicking! Just mix the two parts really well before using!

I have silicone from last summer still and it's perfect, I think as long as you keep it away from intense heat it's fine

It cures faster and thickens up in the parts but should still work
