Hi everyone! First post!
I'm Haley! I've loved mermaids my whole life and am now in process of planning my own tail! I am planning on doing an individually sewn scale method (looking at cutting my own scales or sequins) and have been frequenting this board for several weeks. I'm an artist, (sculptor, jewelry/couture creator, painter) so I'm addicted to creating, it's a part of me!
I'm exciting to get tips and ideas from other merfolk out there and to get started on my build! I have some technical questions, like using vinyl for scales, creating them from liquid polymer clay (just saw an awesome goldfish tutorial). I love the finfolk mythic tails! But since I can't really afford one right now I want to build one as "cheaply" as I can, using materials I've found, sources wholesale, or created myself.
I'm thinking for a fin that I'd like to go without a blade, or by fastening swim fins together, but I haven't puzzled it out as if yet.
